For a modern, transitional and contemporary cabinet look, suggest Dura Supreme’s latest new style, Quarter-Sawn White Oak. A new wood species added to Dura Supreme’s selection, Quarter-Sawn White Oak has a classic, distinctive grain pattern often used in Arts and Crafts furniture design. The quarter-sawn style is created when the wood is cut at an angle where the growth rings intersect the face of the board, which creates a straight, consistent grain pattern and an intriguing “fleck” across the grain. Dura Supreme Quarter-Sawn White Oak is available for Crestwood and Bria cabinetry in most door styles and a large palette of stained finishes.
GAF: Speed Up Roofing Projects with HDZ Shingles with StrikeZone
One recent GAF innovation that speeds up roof installation is StrikeZone on its Timberline HDZ Shingles. The new StrikeZone features the widest strike zone of any shingle, with 600 times more nailing area than traditional Timberline HD shingles. A high-visibility white line defines the nailing area to allow roofers to quickly and precisely place nails. In a GAF test, roofers were able to place 999 out of 1,000 nails correctly—that’s 99.9 percent accuracy.
MARVIN: Let In More Light with the Ultimate Swinging Door
A perfect combination of beauty and strength, Marvin’s Ultimate Swinging door is designed with larger glass to let in more light and provide better views. A recent innovation from Marvin, the Ultimate Swinging door has three-inch stiles and rails, which create a contemporary look while allowing a larger daylight opening. As part of its sleek design, the Ultimate Swinging door includes refined, minimalist hardware and a fully concealed multipoint locking system. In addition, the Ultimate Swinging door can be both inswing and outswing, and can be customized with up to four panels and unequal panel widths for unique designs.
TREX: Finish Decking Jobs Faster with the Trex Universal Fastener Installation Tool
Cut your installation time in half with the new Trex Universal Fastener Installation Tool, which enables decking installers to lock in hidden fasteners in one step. Trex’s innovative nose cone guides bits to the fastener head at the optimal drive angle, allowing for easy tightening of each clip and enabling the installer to quickly slide the next board into place. With a rotating handle, this lightweight, durable tool provides push-and-pull access from a variety of angles. Another handy feature of the Trex Universal Fastener Installation Tool is a bit holder on its underside. It’s also inexpensive, making it a must-have addition to any deck installer’s toolbox.
