On Saturday, June 13, a virtual walk will make a real-world difference for the Iowa Heart Association Iowa.

Because the federal Centers for Disease Control continues to recommend postponing events with 50 people or more, the 2020 Dubuque Area Heart Walk is going virtual—and Spahn & Rose is sponsoring a corporate team to participate.
“Let’s all step out and enjoy the day while raising money for a great cause,” says Spahn & Rose Marketing Director Jacque Arensdorf. “We’ve all been taking a lot more walks anyway, so let’s raise some money to better the lives of those suffering from heart disease and stroke.”
To join the Spahn & Rose corporate team and help raise funds for the Iowa Heart Association, click Spahn & Rose employees were proudly among those walkers last year.
For the 2020 walk, the Iowa Heart Association’s goal is $220,000. Each year, the American Heart Association’s Heart Walks are a way for people across the country to share stories, honor lives lost too soon and celebrate lives saved while raising money to fund research and help make their communities healthier.
Such research is all the more critical now, as those suffering from heart disease and stroke are at higher risk during the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout the pandemic, the American Heart Association has assisted health-care professionals and pivoted to focus its Heart Walk app on Google Play or the Heart Walk app for iPhone.
