It was midmorning on January 8 at the Jesup, Iowa, Spahn & Rose location, and part-time driver Randy Merkel was finishing his typical Wednesday shift. Instead of clocking out, though, he strolled through the lumberyard to see if any coworkers needed a hand.
As of March 27, Spahn & Rose remains open, accepting orders via phone and email while offering no-contact pick-up and delivery.
Residents of Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin are increasingly feeling the impact of the coronavirus, and Spahn & Rose is continuously monitoring updates from federal, state and local officials. We remain open for now to serve our customers while implementing procedures to limit human-to-human contact.
UPDATED: 3/23/20
Starting Wednesday, March 25th all Spahn & Rose retail locations will be conducting walk-in business by appointment only. Phone, email and fax orders will be accepted. Materials will still be available for pickup. Pick-up protocols minimizing human-to-human contact will be used on all pickup. Delivered orders will be set in the driveway or curbside only.
